Thrissur : DC books pulled out the anti-Hindu novel Meesha from the book fair. Trissur Paramekavu Temple has organized the book fair in Agrashala. the protest by the believers left DC books with no choice, bu to pull out the book from the fair.
The believers took a stand that they will not let the sale of the anti-Hindu novel near the temple. As the protest grew strong, DC give it in written that Meesha has been omitted from the book fair to the official bearers of the temple.
Couple of months ago S Harish’s novel Meesha got published in Matrnhoomi weekly. Once the novel was published protest rose in every other corner against Meesha. The novel had abused womanhood and depicted women going to temple were wrong. Woman was described as sexual instrument. Mentions on Brahmins were nothing but ethnic abuse, were the complaints raised against the novel.
As the novel sunk into controversies, Matrbhoomi withdrew the novel. DC book step forward and published it.
