Thiruvananthapuram: The driver of Chief Secretary Viswas Mehta, has been tested positive for coronavirus. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Health Minister KK Shailaja are on his contact list.
It is believed that till July 4, he was on duty at the Secretariat.
Following the confirmation of the disease to the driver, swab samples of Chief Secretary and his family have been sent for testing. Chief Secretary is in the primary contact list while the CM and the Health Minister are in the secondary contact list. The driver who has been diagnosed with the disease is a resident of Vattappara Venkod.
