“By removing M Sivasankar, CM cannot turn his back on gold smuggling scandal,” says K Surendran

Kozhikode: BJP state president K Surendran has said that even if former principal secretary Sivasankaran is removed, the Chief Minister will not be able to turn his back in the gold smuggling case.

He was speaking at he inauguration of Satyagraha in Kozhikode, demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister. Arun Balachandran, a senior IT official who was sacked yesterday, is a close confidante of the Chief Minister. Surendran said that the incident where Arun booked a flat for traitors is a matter of serious concern.

Sivasankar, Arun Balachander and Jayashankar are responsible for all the illegal appointments in the IT department. Crores of rupees is being looted in the IT Department, which is directly managed by the Chief Minister. Several temporary appointments were made permanent in the months of June and July. About 50 CPM dependents have been temporarily appointed to the IT department, said Surendran.
