Malappuram: The Malappuram KSRTC Bus depot has been closed after a worker tested positive for coronavirus.
The depot has more than 300 employees. He has been in direct contact with many people and is undergoing treatment at Manjeri Medical College. The decision to close the Malappuram depot was taken after six people, including the DTO, put on quarantine.
The vehicle supervisor was diagnosed with the disease last day. He had not been to the depot since June 9 due to fever. The source of the infection is yet to be ascertained.
