Kochi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will interrogate former principal secretary to Chief Minister, M Sivasankar for the second time today in connection with the gold smuggling case at the Kochi office.
He was directed to appear at the NIA Kochi office on Monday. Last week, the NIA had grilled him for five hours.
A special team of NIA, including officials from Delhi and Hyderabad has arrived in Kochi for questioning Sivasankar. Today’s questionnaire will be bases on most important things.
Sivasankar had earlier told the NIA that had only a friendship with Swapna Suresh and Sarith, the accused in gold smuggling case. However, it is believed that there are contradictions in the statements he gave to the NIA and Customs.
