Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K Surendran alleged that thousands of crores of corrupted money earned from state-run is directed to the CPM. He said through a virtual press conference that the CPM Central Committee was supporting the gold smuggling because of its hand in the corruption.

Surendran said that over Rs 500 crore scam has happened through K-Phone project and its biggest beneficiary was the CPM-affiliated Uralungal Labour Society.

“The government had started providing consultancy to KPMG since June 2016. Later they got several projects including Rebuild Kerala. A huge scam took place in the guise of it. All the previous investigations went nowhere because the corrupted money from the consultancy went to the CPM,” said Surendran.

Surendran also demanded on who gave their helping hand to CM’s daughter to build an industrial firm. He said that real culprits just cannot hide their face by putting the gold smuggling case on the heads of Swapna Suresh and Sivasankar. They are only a part of it.

The activities of KSI at Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode airports are bewildering, he said. Surendran also said that the government had swindled crores of rupees under the guise of the Purappuram solar project by selling 30 acres of land in the name of Smart City to a private company.
