Kochi: In the gold smuggling case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has found that Swapna Suresh, the second accused had high influence at Chief Minister’s office. She also had control at the UAE Consulate. Even after Swapna resigned, she was working here for $1000 remuneration.
The NIA informed the matter to the special court while opposing Swapna’s bail plea.
Assistant Solicitor General Vijayakumar, who appeared for the central government, informed that Swapna had exact information on gold smuggling and was part of every step of the conspiracy.
