Meppadi: A landslide occurred at Mundakkai area in ward 11 of Meppadi in Wayanad on Friday morning. Two houses were damaged.
As per reports, six families consisting of 21 people have been trapped in the place. Rescue operations are underway and five were saved earlier.
The incident happened in the forest in Ranimala are, followed by a flash flood. An iron bridge washed away in the mud slip.
However, many people were shifted to safer places due to warning from the authorities.
