Thiruvananthapuram: The health department has issued an alert in the wake of rising coronavirus cases in the state. Cluster control measures should be intensified in 8 districts.
The health department said that the situation in Kottayam, Kannur and Palakkad districts will be worsening in the coming days.
Malappuram, Kasaragod, Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam districts have the highest number of patients. Even those with simple cold and fever will be screened to detect virus infection.
The health department estimates that the spread of the disease has reduced in Thrissur, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta districts.
