Kozhikode: CPM goons attacked a pregnant woman and her busband for joining the Bharatiya Janata Party. The incident took place at Maruthongara in Kozhikode.
The couple were attacked at their home for leaving the CPM and joining the saffron party.It is alleged that the CPM goons trampled on the woman’s stomach. She has been admitted to the hospital.
Thottilpalam Police have registered case in connection with the appalling incident.
The BJP alleged that the violence by the CPM was in retaliation for the resignation of several people from the party in the area. The BJP also demanded stern action against the culprits.
