Thiruvananthapuram: The ABVP has demanded that the state government take immediate steps to restructure the semester fees of colleges in view of the COVID crisis. The pandemic has caused a huge economic crisis in the society. Due to this situation, students of all Arts, Engineering, B.Ed and Polytechnic colleges are facing trouble.
In many colleges, students are not allowed to attend classes due to non-payment of fees. There is also a situation where online classes have been stopped.
It is reprehensible that the Kerala government has not taken action on the problems of students, even though other states have directed the authorities to reduce semester fees in view of the crisis, said ABVP.
The ABVP demanded that the state government be prepared to restructure the semester fees in the colleges and make it easier for the students to pay the fees in installments.
