Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran has prohibited Congress leaders from making public statements on matters pertaining to the organisation.
The decision comes after several leaders openly disagreed with the letter sent by some Congress leaders which included Shashi Tharoor, to the high command. There have been difference in opinions regarding the leadership at the high command level.
When Kodikunnil Suresh lashed out at Shashi Tharoor, PT Thomas backed Tharoor on the issue.
Taking this disturbing situation into consideration, Ramachandran banned leaders from making public statements which can otherwise cause further harm to the party.
