Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan’s neglect on the allegation raised against Bineesh Kodiyeri over Bengaluru drug bust case was incorrect.
Chennithala said, ” There are reports stating connections between drug trafficking mafia and gold smuggling case accused. According to reports, one of the accused in the gold smuggling Ramees had contacted Anoop several times. The accused in the gold smuggling case had also went into hiding in Bengaluru. Swapna Suresh’s connection with the drug racket has to be investigated.”
He also demanded CPM state general secretary’s son Bineesh Kodiyeri’s alleged involvement in the gold smuggling case and drug bust case to be probed. Chennithala said that the police did not investigate the night party held at Kottayam.
Three accused Anikha, Muhammad Anoop and Rijesh Raveendran were arrested by police in Bengaluru last week in connection with drug trafficking. On September 2, Muslim Youth League state general secretary, PK Firoz alleged that Bineesh Kodiyeri has close links with the drug smuggling accused who was arrested. However, Bineesh had denied all such allegations.
