Thiruvananthapuram: Police have arrested second accused Ansar in connection with the Venjaramoodu twin murder case, who was absconding after the murder. He was taken into custody from his relative’s house.
Meanwhile, the number of people arrested in the case has reached nine.
The police is now examining whether Ansar was actually involved in the murder. The earlier arrested other accused denied any involvement of Ansar in the attack. However, witnesses claim that Ansar was the main person who attacked the DYFI activists. Hence, police is investigating this discrepancy.
Meanwhile, the Congress came forward alleging the role of two DYFI activists in the case. The party alleged it is clear from the footage that DYFI activists Apoos and Shan are also involved in the attack. Yet the police have not taken any action against them.
