Kochi : Rehana Fathima’s request for anticipatory bail in the case of hurting religious sentiments, was rejected by the Court. Rehana had appealed for anticipatory as the police filed a case against her, on the grounds of her Social media post challenging the believers.
The Court had questioned Rehana, why she wanted to trek to Sabarimala, when she had posted in social media that, Lord Ayyappa is not a Hindu.
Rehana had insulted the deity of Sabarimala ahead of her attempts to ascend Sabarimala. The police took action against Rehana as Radhakrisha Menon, native of Trikkodithanam at Kottayam filed a complaint against her actions.
After the Supreme Court verdict Rehana tried to enter Sabarimala, she could not succeed in her attempt as the pilgrims protested.
