Kozhikode: BJP state president K Surendran on Monday demanded that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter, Veena Vijayan needs to be questioned so that more evidence will emerge in the Life Mission scandal case.
Speaking to media at Kozhikode, Surendran hit out at CM and said that he should resign from his post and face investigation when his family is allegedly involved in corruption.
“The CM is trying to sabotage the investigation. The files in the Secretariat were burnt for this purpose. Its investigation however did not yield any result. The state government is obstructing national agencies from releasing CCTV footage. It is learned that the son of the Chief Minister is also involved in the scam. The chief minister and the ministers are helping their children and relatives to use their political influence to commit corruption,” said BJP state chief.
K Surendran also targeted Minister E P Jayarajan stating that his wife violated the quarantine protocol and went to the bank to get rid of the commission in the Life Mission. He demanded that Minister should make it clear whether wife took out gold, cash or other documents from the locker.
