Thiruvananthapuram: In an appalling incident, three members of a family were found burnt to death in their house at Varkala in Thiruvananthapuram.
The deceased have been identified as Sreekumar (60), wife Mini (55) and daughter Ananthalakshmi (26) of Vettoor.
According to locals, they heard screams and noises inside their house around 3.30 am. Smoke billowing from the house was also noticed.
Soon the police was informed however, they could not be saved as they succumbed before the firefighters arrived on the spot.
The police suspect that Sreekumar committed suicide after setting his wife and daughter on fire in their sleep and as per neighbours he had debts.
