Kochi: KT Rameez, the main accused in the gold smuggling case, was granted bail by the Economic Offences Court in Kochi on Wednesday. He is believed to be the mastermind in the conspiracy of the gold smuggling.
However, the bail was granted with certain conditions. A bond of Rs two lakh and along with that he is directed to appear before the investigating official on all Mondays before 10 am. Rameez has to surrender his passport too.
However, a NIA case remains active against Rameez and therefore he cannot move out.
