Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM is trying to protect Minister K T Jaleel over allegations in gold smuggling case. CPM State Secretariat justified that Jaleel went for interrogation in a private vehicle for the sake of safety.
It also said that the Minister need not resign at the moment as he has not been accused of any crime and so the question of morality does not exist. It has also decided to launch a large campaign among the masses on the issue.
The CPM also decided to discuss about the campaign in the State Secretariat and the State Committee on the 25th and 26th.
