Thiruvananthapuram: The National Investigation Agency said that the GPS system of the C-apt vehicle carrying religious texts from the UAE consulate did not work from Thrissur to Kannur. The NIA also found that school textbooks were taken along with religious texts without being officially recorded.
According to the employees, the statement was not recorded as it was directed by Minister KT Jaleel and the MD.
The parcels, which arrived at C-Apt on June 25, started its journey from the Vattiyoorkavu office at 8 pm on the 30th. There was only one driver in the vehicle. After resting near Alappuzha at night, the vehicle reached Thrissur at 10 am the next day. All the information so far has been recorded in the GPS. After that the GPS did not work for about seven hours from Thrissur to Kannur.
During this time the vehicle reached Malappuram and the parcels were unloaded at two centers. This adds to the mystery. At the same time, employees say that it is common for GPS to crash. The NIA will seek an explanation from Keltron in this regard.
