Thrissur: According to reports, it has been found that caste discrimination was the reason behind the suicide attempt of dancer RLV Ramakrishnan, brother of late actor Kalabhavan Mani.
Ramakrishnan’s suicide note reveals that Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi chairperson and secretary are responsible for his act. The phone conversation between KPAC Lalitha and Ramakrishnan has also leaked.
KPC Lalitha, chairperson of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, has denied the allegations made by RLV Ramakrishnan
The phone conversation makes it clear that the denial of allegations by KPAC Lalitha, who is the chairperson of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, was false. KPAC Lalitha had said that it had not held preliminary discussions for the dance program, invited applications or rejected Ramakrishnan’s application and that the allegations were malicious.
Ramakrishnan was under mental stress after he was being blamed for gender and facing caste discrimination.
In the suicide note, he stated that he can not tolerate this persecution and that there should be an art world without caste discrimination.
RLV Ramakrishnan was found in a state of overdose of sleeping pills at the dance school on Saturday. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karukutty.
