Thiruvananthapuram: A DYFI leader was arrested on Monday for circulating nude pictures of children on social media. Issa Riyaz, a native of Varkala, was arrested.
An Operation P-Hunt was extensive search in the state to crack down on those who spread filthy pictures. Riyaz was arrested following the same.
At the same time, 41 people were arrested in state-wide hunt that apparently included IT professionals.
The operation was led by ADGP Manoj Abraham and it was carried out at 326 centres across the state. Police said that 268 cases were registered under the POCSO Act and IT Act.
