Thiruvananthapuram: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall across the state that will last for four days due to a low-pressure formation over the Bay of Bengal.
The northeast monsoon (Thulavarsham) will also begin by the end of October, it said.
“Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely at one or two places from October 8 to 12 over Kerala and from October 8 to 10 over Lakshadweep,” read the alert issued by IMD.
At the same time, yellow alert has been issued in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts on Thursday. Idukki and Malappuram ahve also been alarmed a yellow alert on Friday.
