Kochi: Former Principal Secretary to Chief Minister M Sivasankar on Friday was grilled for 11 hours by the Customs officials in connection with the gold smuggling case.
The Customs has confirmed his involvement in the distribution of dates imported through UAE consulate to Kerala. According to sources, he admitted during the interrogation that Chief Minister’s office had directly organised the inauguration of the dates supply on his direction.
The Customs is likely to interrogate Sivasankar again today.
