Kochi: The Commissionerate of Customs (Preventive) on Sunday seized 873 grams of gold in compound form and 175 grams of 24-carat gold from two different passengers. The gold were recovered from the Kozhikode International Airport.
At first, 873 grams of gold were seized from a passenger arrived from Dubai who had concealed the gold in his rectum in four capsule-shaped packets.
The next 175 grams of 24-carat gold worth Rs 8.17 lakh was seized from a passenger who arrived from Sharjah.
