Thiruvananthapuram: Apart from Resident Commissioner and Anirudhan Sampath, the state government has appointed an official of the IPS rank in Delhi. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, former DIG of the Police Academy, has been posted in Delhi. The appointment is to the post of Officer on Special Duty.
The order issued by the Public Administration Department states that whatever work the government assigns has to be carried out. The Chief Secretary and the State Police Chief will evaluate the work. The government has also directed to set up a camp office in Delhi for the officer.
In the pretext of achieving central government’s projects for Kerala, Sampath, a cabinet rank person, has been earning by sitting at home. Sampath, a government representative in Delhi, has acquired a total sum of Rs 3,28,000 from his home in Thiruvananthapuram in the last five months. Apart from this, it is not clear why another IPS officer was posted in Delhi.
