Wayanad: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that he does not appreciate the remarks made by former Chief Minister Kamal Nath against a woman candidate during an election rally in the state.
“Kamal Nath ji is from my party but personally, I don’t like the type of language that he used… I don’t appreciate it, regardless of who he is. It is unfortunate,” Rahul Gandhi said in Wayanad today.
Imarti Devi and 21 other MLAs loyal to Jyotiraditya Scindia had resigned from the Congress and the state assembly and joined the BJP in March, that led to the collapse of the Kamal Nath Government.
Kamal Nath was addressing a rally in Dabra for Congress candidate Suresh Raje, referred to Imarti Devi, who is contesting the seat on a BJP ticket as “Yeh Kya item hai”.
