Kochi: Film Director Major Ravi on Friday condemned the action taken against senior BJP leader Kummanam Rajasekharan. He said that the BJP leader is an “upright” person and such kind of “political vengeance” should not be practiced on people like him.
“I condemn the action taken against Sri Kummanam ji, since I know him as an upright person …political vengeance should not be practiced on such kind of simple people…it is very disheartening…!!” Major Ravi wrote on Facebook post.
The case pertains to his PA allegedly scamming Rs 28.75 lakh from an Aranmula native. Aranmula police registered the FIR with Kummanam Rajasekharan as the fifth accused in the complaint regarding a financial transaction carried out by Praveen Kumar, who was his PA during his tenure as the Mizoram Governor.
Kummanam Rajasekharan had earlier refuted all allegations against him stating that it was politically motivated.
