Kozhikode: The Kozhikode Municipality officials on Tuesday claimed that MLA KM Shaji’s house costs Rs 1.6 crore. This was stated in the report over the alleged illegal construction of his house, to the Enforcement Directorate.
The report was handed over to the Kozhikode office of the Enforcement Division by a team led by Municipal Town Planning Officer MM Jayan.
According to Municipal officials parts of the first floor of the house and the entire third floor were illegally constructed.
Shaji had received approval for a 3,200 square feet house however, the officials found that the house has been built of 5450 square feet.
