Kochi: The actress who was attacked approached the High Court seeking to transfer the trial in the case to another court. The petition alleged discriminatory action from the trial court.
The Additional special sessions court, where the trial in the case was progressing has failed to record the victim’s statement. The complainant also pointed out that though the defendant lawyer mentally tortured her in the name of hearing, the court did not question it.
Meanwhile, the prosecution had already moved a petition in the additional special sessions court seeking to adjourn further proceedings in the case. The petition filed in the trial court stated that the baseless allegation against the prosecution was “painful”.
