Sannidhanam : Ayyappa devotees arrested for staying back at Sannidhanam for more than 6 hours. Nine Ayyappas from Paravoor were taken into police custody.

The allegation is that the notice issued by the police before the entry into Sabarimala is not followed. The pilgrims had purchased token for Ghee anoint, police did not let them complete it.

The devotees did not chant Sarana Manthra, with no provocation they were arrested for of being indifferent to the demands of police, not to stay at Sannidhanam for more than six hours.

The police had collected their mobile numbers before they reached Sannidhanam. Post 6 hours the police gave them a call and take them to custody from Sannidhanam.

The other day police have arrested pilgrims for hailing Lord Ayyappa, the devotees were charged with non-bailable offense. The pilgrims were remanded for 14 days.
