Section 144 must be stretched till Makaravilakk : Kerala Police

Pathanathitta : The police authority demanded that the ban under section 144 at Sabarimala must be stretched till Marakaravilakk day, Which falls on the 24th of January. The district police superiors had submitted reports for this to the Collector. Pathanathitta SP handed over the report to PB Nooh, the district Collector.

Sannidhanam, Pampa, Nilakkal and Elavunkal are the regions those bears since the temple had open for this darshana season. The request has been placed to extend this ban.

Under the cover of the existing ban the police had arrested pilgrims even for chanting ” Swami Saranam”. 69 pilgrims were arrested and released later.
