Thiruvananthapuram : Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan said that KM Shaji will not be allowed in the assembly. The Speaker said that the stay order from the High Court order has ended.
There is no obligation to let KM Shaji enter the assembly. There was no order granting to Shaji to enter the assembly. The disqualification by the High Court is still valid.
Sreeramakrishnan made it clear that, the Supreme Court had mentioned that Shaji can be a part of the assembly acts, however its not mandatory to implement something verbally communicated.
The High Court observed that, Shaji can be a part of legislative acts however he will not be entitled to receive any benefits. The Chief Justice asked Shaji’s lawyer is it his client’s intention to be an MLA on the back support of a Stay order.
