Kochi : In Sabarimala, there are no restrictions on devotees, states the Government. The affidavit filed by the Government in the High Court says that, no complaint has been filed reflecting attacks on devotees and the police have not provoked any situation in Sabarimala. The cleaning of Nadapanthal with water is a practice since long time, the pilgrims were restricted from staying at Nadapanthal was due to some situations, claimed the State Government.
The Devaswom Board submits the affidavit to the High Court saying that, all facilities are arranged for the devotees in Sabarimala. Similarly, in the affidavit, the drop in the number of devotees in Sabarimala is reflected. On the first day of Annadanam 9000 pilgrims came and on the following days it dropped to 6000. The affidavit points out that the pilgrims have declined greatly.
