Thiruvananthapuram : Complaint demanding comprehensive investigation in the death of violin maestro Balabhaskar, to CM and DGP. Balabhaskar’s father C K Unni has approached CM and DGP with the complaint. DGP ordered for detailed investigation on the basis of the complaint. The Crime branch is directed to help the local police.
The accident happened on 25th September. Balabhaskar, his wife, daughter and driver were travelling in the car which lost control and crashed on to a tree. Tejaswini Bala, daughter of Balabhaskar died in the mishap. Balabhaskar who was critical passed away in the hospital. Balabhaskar’s wife Lakshmi and his driver Arjun were injured were admitted to private hospital by the localities with the help of police at Thiruvananthapuram.
Arjun’s statement was registered on the same day. As per Arjun’s statement to the police, he was sleeping in the back seat and Balabhaskar was in the driving seat. The posse started with the investigation on the grounds of the Arjun’s statement. However Lakshmi’s statement was taken as she has overcome the critical stage after the accident.
According to Lakshmi’s statement, Balabhaskar was resting in the back seat and Arjun was driving. Arjun himself was in the driving seat. Lakshmi claims that, she and her daughter was on the front seat. Statement of Balabhaskar’s wife and his driver are different. The police noticed this however did not proceed with any further investigation on it.
But the allegations have been raised from various angles of suspicion in death. In this context, Balabhaskar’s father complained to the CM and the Police Chief demanding a comprehensive investigation into the case.
