Pathanamthitta : CPM activist and advocate Arun Das, will appear for Rehana Fathima. Rehana is accused of hurting Hindu religious sentience. Arun Das is the local committee member of CPM Malayalappuzha. Arun Das appears at the Pathanamthitta Court for the cases in which CPM activists are the accused.
Police arrested Rehana Fatima from BSNL office at Palarivattom on Tuesday afternoon.
Rehana Fatima’s anticipatory bail plea had earlier rejected by the Court, in the case of hurting Hindu religious sentience. The police has filed an FIR against Rahana in connection with a complaint filed, allegedly hurting religious sentiments in social media.
The court had questioned why Rehana want to go to Sabarimala, when she in her Facebook post said that, Lord Ayyappan is not a Hindu.
Rehana Fatima had insulted the Ayyappa idol before attempting to enter Sabarimala. The complaint was filed by Radhakrishnan Menon of Kottayam Thrikodithanam.
Following the Supreme Court verdict on young admission in Sabarimala, Rehana Fatima came to visit Sabarimala. However because of the strong protest of the devotees, she could only go till Nadapanthal.
