New Delhi : PK Sasi MLA, who has been suspended by the party continuing as Minister is unjust, says Rekha Sharma, National Commission for Women’s chairperson. Rekha Sharma said that, the woman assaulted must go further with legal; proceedings. She also added that NCW had received a letter requesting action on the violation.
National Commission for women has come with the question that, on what grounds Shornur MLA P K Sasi still attends to the Legislative Assembly, when he was suspended from his own party following allegation of a woman’s torture.
Rekha Sharma sought the technicality of Sasi attending to State Assembly when he is temporarily suspended from his primary membership to party.
The woman should approach the judiciary. It is inevitable for political parties to avoid situations in which women are allowed to eliminate such cases, Says Rekha Sharma.
The petitioner has written a letter to State Women’s Commission asking for action against P K Sasi.
