Kochi:High court will consider K Surendran’s plea, in relation with Manjeswaram election, on Monday.The court postponed the plea so as to consider the plea of late Abdul Rasaq’s son, Shafeeq.
The court had directed to publish Abdul Rasaq’s demise in official gazette. Following this, his son filed a petition to join the case in the absence of his father.The court granted permission for Shafeeq to join,hence the postponement.
Surendran, in his petition had accused that the election results were adulterated with fake votes. Surendran lost the election by 89 votes. Hearing of 175 witnesses had been completed. The court had sent summons to 67 witnesses.
