Thiruvananthapuram : Opposition party boycotted Assembly in protest against relative appointment. Opposition party leader walked out of the assembly in protest as the Speaker of the assembly has already denied the proposal of emergency resolution on K T Jaleel’s relative appointment, by K Muraleedharan. Following this League MLAs and some Congress MLAs started protest in the corridor. Later leader of the opposition party came back, by the time the rest were on protest and they all walked out of the Assembly together.
Ramesh Chennithala declared the boycott of the assembly as no proper response is received on the relative appointment controversy. Speaker has asked the opposition party that, they had assured to be a part of the assembly actions and why are they interrupting the same. Opposition party left the Assembly demanding K T Jaleel’s resignation. Ramesh Chennithala announced the decision of UDF, to abandon Jaleel from public functions and the Assembly.
