Thiruvananthapuram: Veteran theatre artist and director Karakulam Chandran passed away this morning. He was 68.
Karakulam Chandran made his imprints in the field of serials and cinema as an actor and also as a director. He worked with KPAC from 1970 to 1981. His works spread over six decades and he had acted around fifty dramas.
Karakulam Chandran received more than eighty awards including Kerala Sahithya Academy Award and Ramu Karyat award.
He had undergone bypass surgery months back. Karakulam Chandran’s mortal remains will be kept at his home at Karakulam for public to pay homage. Cremation will be held at Santhikavadam tomorrow.
