Pathanamthitta: Section 144 has been again extended for four more days. Prohibitory order has extended at Elavunkal,Nilakkal,Pampa and Sannidhanam. Collector has stretched section 144 on the basis of report submitted by the police.
Section 144 had been imposed from the very beginning of this pilgrim season. At first it was declared for a week and then extended for four days each in different phases.
Police had arrested hundreds of devotees for chanting sharana manthras. Earlier this season, BJP State General Secretary K Surendran and Hindu Aikyavedi State President Sasikala Teacher had also been arrested from Sabarimala.
