Thiruvananthapuram: Calamity cess, meant for Kerala reconstruction is being implemented in the state. The cess will be imposed for two years on GST products with 12,18 ,28 % .
Cost of movie tickets,beer,wine and alcohol will be up. A quarter percentage cess is levied on gold and silver. Electronic equipments will also cost more.
Tax for luxury homes will be imposed and houses with more than 3000 square feet will have to pay extra tax.
Service tax for people having 20 to 50 lakh annual income has been reduced to 6%.
