Kochi: Solar case prime accused Saritha Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan were acquitted in a financial fraud case by Ernakulam CJM court today. The acquittal comes in the case filed by T. C. Mathew, a resident of Thiruvananthapuram who accused the duo of cheating him of Rs. 1.05 Cr by promising distribution rights in a solar company they had set up.
While letting off the accused, the court observed that the petitioner was not able to prove any financial fraud in their dealings. This led the court to acquit both Saritha Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan.
Meanwhile, the CJM Court is set to deliver the verdict in another case against Biju Radhakrishnan tomorrow, in which he is accused of using a forged letter by former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to cheat investors of their money.
