Malappuram: The police are unraveling the gruesome killing of hotelier Siddique by Muhammad Shibili, Khadijat Farhana and Ashiq. It is now believed that the trio tried to honey trap Siddique and when he tried to resist their attempts, they killed him.

During the day of the crime, Farhana reached the hotel room booked by Siddique. They talked for half-an-hour in the hotel room before Shibili joined them. While they were talking with each other, Asiq barged into the room. Then Shibili, Farhana and Ashiq tried to take nude pictures of Siddhique and demanded Rs.5 lakhs from him.

However, Siddique refused it and began resisting their attempts. Farhana took a hammer she carried with her in her bag and handed it over to Shibili. He hit Siddique on the head. He was also kicked several times on his chest. It is believed that the murder happened within five minutes of Ashiq’s entrance.

Siddique’s body was dismembered using an electric cutter. His body parts were then stuffed in trolley bags and dumped in a gorge at Attappady.

The police will today file a petition in court to get custody of all the accused. The police are planning to collect evidence today if the court accepts the custody petition.
