Kottayam: A doctor couple donated their land and building worth rupees 25 crore to Seva Bharahi for free. Dr Rajasekaran Nair and Dr Sarasu have written and gave their 65 cent of land and 10,000 sq.ft building to SevaBharathi in Etumanoor town in Kottayam district. The land with a building and a house named ‘Ramakrishna’ in Etumanoor- pala state high way was been donated.

Dr Rajasekaran Nair and Dr. Sarasu have retired after working for a long time in the health sector at UK. Dr. Rajasekarn’s father Dr Ram k.Nair and his mother Dr. MK Chellamma were homeopathic doctors and they started a Urgent service Center in the name of ‘Ramakrishna”.  Dr. Rajasekaran  has also donated that service center to Sevabharathi in memory of his parents.

Sevabharati plans to refurbish this center into a service center providing Palliative Care Unit, free evening clinic for Alopathic-homeo and ayurvedic doctors, , dialysis center, vocational training center, examination training center, accommodation for Sabarimala pilgrims, arts and Yoga practice center etc. National Sevabharathi Kottayam District office and Sevabharathi Etumanoor Unit will also be shifted to Ramakrishna Building.

It was desired that this land should be used only for service purpose. That is why this property is handed over to Sevabharathi said Dr. Rajasekaran Nair. And Savabharati said that “Doctors donated this property for the sake of community service without a desiring for a name and fame”, the only request of Dr. Rajasekaran Nair is that the name of the building should be changed in the memory of his parents.
