Kottayam: The forensic report, which has been submitted to the court, has provided crucial insights into the murder case of Dr.Vandana. The report states that the accused Sandeep was not under the influence of any intoxicants at the time of crime. It also confirms the absence of alcohol in both his blood and urine samples. The medical board also stated that the accused does not have any serious mental problems. These finding challenges initial speculations about the culprit’s possible state of intoxication during the attack.
The incident took place on May 10. The accused Sandeep, a native of Puyapalli, Kollam, who was taken to the hospital by the police for medical examination, stabbed the doctor Vandana who was in duty at the Taluk hospital Kottarakara resulted in the loss of Dr. Vandana’s life and injuries to police officers involved in apprehending the accused. The shocking nature of the crime sparked widespread outrage, leading to massive protests across the state. The public demanded justice for Dr. Vandana and stricter measures to ensure the safety of healthcare workers.
