Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State President Sreedharan Pillai took a hard stance against CPI(M) State Secretary’s comments critical of India’s airstrikes. Sreedharan Pillai accused the Communist leader’s statement as anti-national and asked the Government to cancel the party’s recognition.
The CPI(M) State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said yesterday that Indian Government’s decision to conduct airstrike was a ploy to derail the Lok Sabha elections. His remarks, on a day that the country was celebrating the success of the Indian retaliation avenging Pulwama attack, drew huge criticism.
BJP leader Krishnadas asked Chief Minister Pinnarayi Vijayan to explain the party secretary’s stand. He accused the Communist Party for acting as the guardian of Pakistan and demanded to know how much money was offered by terrorists to do spy work for them.
BJP has decided to conduct protest today and tomorrow against CPI(M) State Secretary’s statement.
