The complaint, filed by a female representative of the SFI district committee, alleges that Nikhil Thomas, who failed in his B.Com, got admission in M.Com in the same college where he had studied by submitting a fake certificate.
The complainant has presented documents indicating that, Kayamkulam SFI District Area Secretary, Nikhil Thomas studied B.Com at Milad-E-Sharif Memorial (MSM) College in Kayamkulam but failed to complete the degree. However, he allegedly managed to gain admission to the M.Com program at the MSM College by submitting a fake certificate from Kalinga University. The complainant raised a valid question, questioning how a student could acquire two degree certificates within the same academic year (2018-2021).
Following the escalating controversy surrounding this incident, the SFI has taken action by removing Nikhil from the district committee membership. In response, Nikhil has claimed that his exclusion was due to exceeding the age limit for continued membership in the SFI, as he is now above 26 years old. He further stated that his denial of membership in the SFI district committee was unrelated to the forgery allegations.
