Following AK Balan’s defense of the SFI, Muhammad Riyaz also expressed his support for the SFI.
Minister Mohammad Riyaz has come forward to support the leadership of the Student Federation of India (SFI) in the wake of recent allegations. Riaz firmly stated that concerted efforts are underway to tarnish the reputation of the SFI.
Both the Communist Party of India (CPI) and the SFI have chosen not to take a stance in support of any of the accused individuals. Riyaz emphasized that the SFI has played a crucial role in quelling communal riots in various states, highlighting their interventions as significant contributions to maintaining peace.
Riyaz further alleged that certain individuals are intentionally targeting MV Govindhan and the SFI in an attempt to defame them.
Earlier in a press meet, AK Balan also voiced a similar statement in support of the SFI. Balan criticized Sudhakaran, the President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), for his derogatory remark labeling Govindhan as an “indecent leader.”
