Pathanamthitta: A distressing incident unfolded in Elanthoor, Pathanamthitta, as stray dogs once again launched an attack, leaving six individuals injured. The victims were promptly admitted to Pathanamthitta District Hospital and Medical College for treatment. The incident occurred yesterday evening at around 4:30 p.m. when a pack of stray dogs aggressively targeted six people at Elanthoor’s Market Junction. Among the injured was a child who also suffered harm during the attack. Furthermore, one person was bitten while attempting to rescue the child.
Stray dogs have become an all-too-common sight in Pathanamthitta district, leading to concerns voiced by local residents. They attribute the growing stray dog population to the inaction of the health department in the district, as well as improper garbage disposal and waste management practices by hotels.
In response to the situation, the BJP District Committee has submitted a petition to the Panchayat Office today, seeking action on this pressing matter.
